3 Foods to Bring on a Boat Trip

A day out on the water takes a lot of preparation. Often, you will need to pack tools and gadgets, as well as water safety devices – and the list goes on. However, one of the more complicated things to pack is the food you plan to eat during the day. Because you’ll be out on the water, you need to make sure the food you choose is not only easy to pack, but also easy to consume, easy to clean up after, and, most importantly, will keep hunger at bay. Our team at Bremer Jet Ski & Watercraft Rental, Inc. knows that nothing can ruin a boat trip faster than a grumbling stomach, so we’ve listed our three favorite foods to pack for a day out on the water.

1. Pasta Salad

Instead of packing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, we like to pack a pasta salad. It is a complete and healthy food that is packed with carbs, protein, minerals, vitamins, and essential fats your body needs. You can add some meat, fruits, or veggies on top of it, and you can prepare it ahead of time in less than 20 minutes. Not only will pasta salad keep you feeling full, it will also stay fresh in the cooler for your whole day.

2. Popcorn

Popcorn is actually a great, healthier alternative to chips, and is just as easy to pack and snack on during the day. Popcorn can provide the nutritional fiber you need to boost your metabolism and is also linked to many health benefits. With all the flavors available, you can’t go wrong.

3. Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob can provide the energy you need to last the day because of its high carbohydrate content. It is packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber, and low in fat and protein. When preparing to take it out on the boat, simply pour boiling water into a cooler box and add your corn. It will cook on it’s own in a few hours while you’re out on the water, and when you’re hungry, it’ll be ready!

At Bremer Jet Ski & Watercraft, we want your day out on the water to be filled with great food and great memories!
